Clearly Media can develop custom applications built on top of existing content management systems, or from scratch.  Drive Rite Piering Systems (which has since been sold to another supplier) had us build a system to accomodate their entire network from sales to vendors to customers--the system handled all sorts of custom tasks that no "out of the box" solution could provide.

Moldproof needed a custom web application to create events, allow user registrations, view/edit user registration data, allow payment by PayPal, and display a list of upcoming events in an expandable list with a custom RSS feed.  It included both an administrative back-end with a CRUD (create, read, update, delete) for both events and registrations.

Many companies or freelancers utilize the power of Content Management Systems (CMS), but few can actually program custom modules based on client need.  Below are snapshots from two custom modules we built that plug into an existing content management system.  One is a video module allowing streaming videos to play in a hulu-like setting without reloading the page to switch videos.  The other ties into the eCommerce system to calculate equipment needs and put the right amount of rental equipment in the shopping cart!

The site owner, without knowledge of code, can upload and manage his own videos using this custom module.
